QuasarDB part of winning team of IDIOM project rewarded by BPI and Ile de France Region

QuasarDB is part of a consortium led by DataDirect Networks France which also includes :

  • Criteo
  • Université de Bretagne Occidentale
  • Qarnot Computing
  • CEA
  • Telecom Paris Sud
  • INRIA – Centre de Grenoble Rhône-Alpes

This consortium sucessfully answered a call for a R&D project launched by France and its regions with the Project IDIOM that has been selected and has thus been granted necessary funding.

The purpose of the IDIOM project is to speed up and partially automate the resolution of I / O issues for newer generations of applications, and to help ensure the performance portability of existing applications to new storage infrastructures. IDIOM targets HPC and Big Data applications.
